Sugar Monster tells the story of an eccentric, sugar-addicted young girl named Kelcy who, after years spent reading too many comics, has become convinced that her sugar rushes are in fact super powers. After some trial and error, these “powers” are fully realized during a confrontation with the neighborhood bully.
Her sugar-induced alter ego is born.
She becomes the Sugar Monster.
Determined to follow in the footsteps of the heroes who came before her, her quixotic fight against evil quickly escalates and she soon learns that life is not as black and white as her comics would make it seem. But if she can just stay out of trouble and get her powers under control, she may still fulfill her destiny and become a true hero.
